TileSet
-------
Okay, so you dont like my domino tiles or want to make a new set for some
reason. Simple. First this to do is start a new project, or if you feel
daring erase the contents of the objects drawer in this one and start from
scratch.
Second thing to do is to create a set of brushes called 0.bru, 1.bru and
so on. They can be any shape, size and colour(s) you want as long as
Imagine will accept them as brushes. Use a viewer to look at the originals
to get an idea. (You just erased the original files? No problem, they're
still on the CD! ;))
Third thing to do is to use Imagine to create _one_ tile object and put
two of the brushes on it. It does not have to be the 0 and 0 (blank) tile,
you can make any tile you want! The important thing is that the object name
(used internally byImagine) should be x-y where x is the number of the
first brush and y the number of the second. For instance, 3-5 if you
make the 3 and 5 tile. The file name used to save it should also use the
two numbers with the .iob (for Imagine OBject) suffix.
Fourth thing to do (Hey I started it, I might as well finish it!) is to
run TileSet. You should either copy it to your project drawer and run it
there (from Shell... okay, to be honest I haven't tried it any other way!)
or just enter the directory (and this has to be done from Shell) and run it
_from_ there by typing the full path of the program. Pick the object file
you just created in the file requester, then sit back and - blink. It's
finished!
Now restart Imagine (unless you just left it running in the background)
and take a look at all the new objects that suddenly appeared. Then sit
down and make another cool domino animation for the next AF CD. ;)
